In August 2024 the Taalunie/ ‘Union for the Dutch Language’ has granted a ‘start-up’ subsidy to Thomas van Berckel to set up (step by step) and coordinate a sustainable formal organization for this association/network. Plan is to have this ready by the end of 2024 / begin 2025 and start with operations in second part 2025. It is a follow-up to online and onsite networking events held in 2022 and 2023, titled 'The Importance of the Dutch Language in India,

‘Foundation for Dutch Language and Culture’

Objectives of the Foundation

“The Foundation for Dutch Language and Culture’ aims to establish a non-profit foundation, form a representative board, and collaborate with educational institutions to strengthen the Dutch language presence outside the Netherlands and Belgium in general and in India in particular.”

We are currently busy with founding the organization.
